Life isn't really that complicated. But it is a struggle.

Let's touch on your idea.."it's not easy". Well what that really means is, "the price is high"...and lots of people really don't want to deal with that..bc that means problems, stress, disappointment, headaches, insecurity, hard times, etc.

But integrity can sometimes be very costly...depending on the circumstances. And rather than people acknowledging, "Hey, I'm going to take the easy way out."...or, "Hey, I was selfish" instead they say "it's not black white, it's nuanced"...etc.

Or sometimes people do the wrong things, but for good reasons...

Yes, you're correct. We're taught lots of things. But that doesn't let us off the hook from being responsible for treating other people the way they deserve to be treated.

None of this means people don't also deserve compassion, understanding, forgiveness or kindness when we mess up..but at least let's be honest about why we need any of those things in the first place!!
